When Summer Just Whips Your Butt…

Oh So Eclectic Bundle from Stampin' UP! is extremely versatile. Wendy Cranford www.luvinstampin.com

I GIVE!

Summer is kicking my business butt.  I am so busy running my kid around, going to appointments or meetings, or keeping up with family events and regular old errands I am ready to crumble on the floor and cry!

Do you know how hard I tried to “PLAN” for this summer?  So this exact thing would not happen.  Read more about that HERE.

UGH… Best laid plans they say!

At any rate… today I am swiping from the Stampin’ UP! files and showing you a bundle that I don’t own yet.  I can’t wait to get it.  It’s on my next order.  But until then you will have to enjoy Stampin’ UP!’s amazing samples of the Oh So Eclectic Bundle.

Check out their video and if you want to order this set, you can… just click HERE.

Patriotic Swap Cards feat. Ribbon of Courage

Create beautiful backgrounds using large background stamps from Stampin' UP! Wendy Cranford www.luvinstampin.com

Today’s card is serving (no pun intended) all sorts of purposes.

First it’s a swap card.  A swap is a fun event in which several people decide to make several of the same card, they then get together and exchange cards, so they go home with several different cards.  It’s super fun.

This card is going to be swap for two different swaps and it’s also going to be a card kit for an upcoming card class.

Inside the cards I am providing the address to write to a soldier.  I thought this would be a fun way to make the swap card a giving card too.  I have provided the info in this blog post as well, I hope you get inspired to write a letter to a soldier.

You Move Me by Stampin’ UP! Interactive Card Fun Tips & Tricks

You Move Me framelits tips and tricks. Wendy Cranford www.luvinstampin.com

This was one of the stamp sets and framelit sets that I did not care for AT ALL when I saw it in the catalog.

It wasn’t until I was sitting at the OnStage event in San Diego this past April, that I knew this set would be on my first order.  It is so amazing.

The interactive butterfly and hummingbird made me so happy, and I know it will make the recipients of these cards happy as well.

All of that wonderfulness being said, I need to clue you in on a few tips and tricks for using this set.

How to get a perfect cut using your You Move Me framelits. Wendy Cranford www.luvinstampin.com

I love how this card turned out.  The interactive part of this card is so cool.  Macie (my mini me) loved this card so much.

How To Create Repeating Pattern Card Backgrounds feat. Message in a Bottle

How to create a simple repeating pattern background using stamps. Featuring Message in a Bottle from Stampin' UP! Wendy Cranford www.luvinstampin.com

Creating my own backgrounds is one of my favorite ways to make my cards unique.

I love seeing what kind of background I can come up with by simply sitting and playing with stamps.

Today’s cards feature the Message in a Bottle stamp set from the new annual catalog.

Both cards feature the repeating pattern or repeat stamping technique.

In the Dad card I wanted to convey a gradient or an ombre look with both the letters and the background.  Make sure you watch the video too see how I created that look using just one ink pad.

All the supplies used on these cards are listed below.  The Stampin’ UP! products can be purchased in my online store.  Click the images to order them.
