I really love spending time trying to create different looks with one stamp set. However, time is usually what I am short on. So I keep it simple. Simple is best. I ALWAYS need birthday cards. I grabbed a stack of my 5″ x 3-1/2″ notecards and envelopes and I got to stamping.
I always find it interesting when people say, “Yeah but, to do that hobby you have to have ALL that stuff.” To which I reply, “No. No. Only the sick people have all this stuff. You can do this and only have a few things.” AM I RIGHT? In truth you could get away with having a few stamp pads, a few stamp sets and a cleaning agent and really you could make cute cards. I have proven just that in these cards.
Stamping on envelopes is adorable. Why do I never do it? Sometimes I do. I think I should require it of myself because it really is just so darn cute. I stamped the cake on the envelope above and colored it in using blendabilites (have you heard about those? Watch my video to hear the update).
This one (the one above) is my favorite of the three cards. I think the colors are what make it for me. Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral are a fabulous trio of spring infused color. The best part of this color combo is it works well for a male or female card. FANTABULOUS! I am also looking for gender neutral cards to lessen my frustrations when going to grab a card to send.
