My Ugly Card – It happens

Well this card was good in theory.

Maybe you will like it.

It’s not totally hideous but it’s very busy and I just don’t like busy.  But I wanted to use the frog and that mushroom paper but I just don’t think it came together well.

What do you think?

What elements of this card do you think could be changed to improve it?

Generally speaking I am a clean and simple stamper.

This is what happens when you don’t follow who you are! LOL.  You get a big mess.

TIPS & INSTRUCTIONS:

+ Here’s a tip, don’t CASE this card.

+ If you do CASE this card, fix it and send me a photo of it better than I did it.

I did create a video to show you how I put this card together.

I am being pretty hard on it.  It’s not the most hideous thing I’ve ever made, but close.

I agree~you are too funny. I don’t have this paper yet or I WOULD case this card–maybe put a vellum oval over the DSP to soften the background and make the frog standout? Not sure, but I have used vellum like that many times before. I don’t think the card is too busy at all. I really like the fussy cut elements. Don’t ditch it. Actually a great card!

Love the look on your face! I don’t think this card is ugly-I can’t imagine an ugly card by you! I like the card especially fussy cutting of the mushroom, love this DSP. I think I would eliminate the leaves.

LOL Too funny. Love your mistake. Thanks for showing us that we’re not the only ones that make “ugly” cards.

Oh, you had me laughing at this one!!! Your facial expression is priceless but so is your card!!! I like it and I think I would have had the oval die-cuts all going in the same direction and maybe even the darker one peeping out behind that great mushroom background paper!!! Liking that paper!!! This card is a keeper no matter how you feel about it!!! Hugs

Your card is not ugly. and I am going to try and CASE it since I just got that DSP and haven’t opened it yet, along with the frog framelits. I love the little mushroom popped up…. I look forward to reading your blog, watching your videos, I learn so much. THANK YOU! for sharing all your talents.

I would have used the DSP for a background to the whole card and picking up a color to back the Frog then maybe some of the leaves with another color from the DSP and then a small banner for the sentiment

You has me at UGLY! This video is hilarious. Thanks for the giggles.

Suggestion, die cut the dsp in the large oval and cut a smaller oval in grapefruit grove, the poppy parade is overpowering.

Appreciate the laughs, and I needed that!!! (Ugly is in the eye of the beholder.)
