Color combinations seem to be what I always start with when I create.
A good color combination can set into motion a GREAT crafting experience.
A bad color combination can pretty much make your crafting experience suck.
Here are 5 full proof color combos that will make your heart pitter patter and get your creative juices pumping.
1} Marina Mist, Wisteria Wonder and Blushing Bride. Soft, springy, baby, wedding. This combo can fit so many different themes.
Technique: On this card I used a blender pen dipped into ink pads. Super simple technique and really fun to do. Great alternative for coloring and having a watercolor finish. I stamped the outline in the color that I blended with. This softens the outline of the flower.
2} Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight. Bright, springy, summer, happy.
Technique: I stamped the outline image in memento tuxedo black ink. I colored the flowers using Blendabilities. They give beautiful shading and you can add where you want areas darkened. Super simple and fun.
3} Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie. Bold, Regal, Summer, Fall. Great colors that make a statement.
Technique: Again I used blendabilities for this card. However instead of stamping in Memento Tuxedo Black for the outline, I stamped with each of the stamp colors listed above.
4} Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush. Bright, fun, spring, easter.
Technique: There is no coloring on this card. I just simply stamped the beautiful colors and that was it.
5} Memento Tuxedo Black, Rose Red and Crushed Curry. Elegant, fun, youthful, trendy.
Technique: On this card I used the blender pen again. However I used the technique very light. I didn’t want the shading very dark at all. I really love how this one turned out.
Here I have a little tutorial for you on how to cut and mask images. Super fun technique. Easy and all you need is extra paper. Love doing this.
Just in case I made the tutorial above confusing, I went ahead and did a video for you.

I love the color combos. I tried to Pin them to a board, but could not figure out how that worked on your new site?

Thank you so much. My new pin it button is in the top left hand corner of the image. Hope that helps. Let me know if you still can’t pin it. Still working out the bugs.
