5 Great Cardmaking Hacks For Your Handmade Cards

Color Splash 62 featuring Sparkle Of The Season bundle from Stampin' UP

Creating wreaths for your handmade cards has never been easier. The Sparkle of the Season bundle from Stampin’ UP is exactly what you need to make flawless wreaths in so many varieties however, you can use whatever you have on hand for this.

Today I have 5 stamping hacks, or tips, to share with you.

As I was creating these cards I realized I had little tips one after another and really there are more than 5 tips but there are 5 that I really wanted to showcase for you.

Tip 1 – The best Stamparatus trick. Pop your solid card stock die cuts into a negative and stamp away. Great for mass producing. Use the Take Your Pick tool to easily get them out of the negative.

Tip 2 – Use the Rock N Roll technique. Stamp the image in a light color, and then rock and roll the edges of the same image in a darker ink. As a result, you get two toned images that create a little bit of interest on your cards.

Tip 3 – Add depth and interest to your die cut images by ink blending on top of them.

Feel free to pin these tips to your favorite handmade cards Pinterest boards.

Tip 4 – Use a circle pattern to create a wreath. You can even use the top of a glass, draw a circle on cardstock and follow the circle to build the wreath.

Tip 5 – Use Press N Seal to pick up your stamped die cut pieces. This keeps them all in place and gives you a chance to add the glue to the pieces to place it on your project.

Bonus Tip 1 – Manipulate your clear stamps on a clear block to make them different shapes. FYI – I totally made a typo on this slide and I’m too lazy to go through fixing it.

Bonus Tip 2 – Stamp the same image with the same ink color 3 times, one on top of the other. This gives you a variation of color from the same ink color.

I created this quick tip video in case you are interested in watching the full-length video. As much as I love hanging out on YouTube videos and even watching a nice long video, I do understand that people have lives to live and sometimes you just need the tips and to move on.

If you do find yourself with a little extra time on your hands, you should watch the full length video. I manage to injure myself two times duirng the making of this video and caught all the audio that goes along with the injuries. Personally, I have listened to the audio about 15 times and it just keeps getting funnier.
