My friend Carrie’s husband just celebrated his 50th birthday!
Carrie is as good as gold but she’ll be late to her own funeral.
The night before his birthday she texts me and says, “Can you make Rob a 50th birthday card?”
GIRL, FOR REAL! One nights notice.
I couldn’t leave her hanging. So I whipped together a card for him. I actually used several elements that I already had cut.
If you don’t keep a drawer full of random die cuts and stamped images you should.
When I make cards if I have left over bits I just dump them into a drawer.
You have no idea how many times that drawer has saved my bacon.
At any rate, I am guessing Rob enjoyed his card. He is big into fishing and I hope this card made him smile. I also hope he didn’t look too closely at the coloring because I was totes struggling with the right colors for a trout.

Neat card for a fisherman – but mine is not! I love that background embossing folder.
