Today’s adorable baby chick Easter treat box was created with my new baby chicks in mind.
I have a small brood of chickens. Recently one of them started brooding. This means they sit on eggs until they hatch, but the problem is, the eggs haven’t been fertilized by a rooster.
So the poor hen just sits and sits with no results.

Occasionally when this happens I take advantage of the opportunity to bring a new clutch of chicks into the brood.
I remove her from the nest and sneak the babies in and then she raises them. It’s a win-win. She’s pleased with herself and I get new chickens.
Anyway, I was inspired by my new babies to create this cute Easter treat box.

Easter Treat Box Tips & Instructions
+ Cut two pieces of Daffodil Delight cardstock at 4″ x 5″. Score one of the boxes at 1″ on every side. This piece is the lid. Score the other box at 1-1/16″ on every side.
+ Cut an oval out of the lid of the box.
+ Use window sheets to cut a piece to go inside the box lid, at 1-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ and glue inside the lid.
+ Die cut two egg pieces in Whisper White thick from the Dino Dies.
+ Stamp the chick in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and color.
