Basic to Advanced One Layer Scene Card

Today I am sharing some fun new goodies from Pajama Crafter Stamps. Sometimes making scene cards can feel intimidating. In today’s video, I share how you can make very simple or basic one-layer scene cards to advanced.

This cute little elf is from the Elfin Christmas stamp set with Pajama Crafter Stamps.

To create a simple one layer card stamp a cute image like this one, color and add a sentiment below the image. My top tip for stamping just one image and coloring it is to always color shadows under the image. This grounds the image and doesn’t make it look as thought it’s levitating.

These little bears just stole my heart. This is the Happy Camper stamp set from Pajama Crafter stamps. There are dies available for this stamp set as well. I didn’t use them today because I was making one layer cards.

There was a lot of masking and stamping involved in these cards and I had to lay it out on scratch paper first to make sure everything worked. The fire had to be in front of the bears, so that is the image that was stamped and masked first. Then the picnic basket was stamped and masked, then the bears and then the pine trees.

Whatever image you want to be at the front of your scene has to be stamped first and then masked.

I hope you enjoyed these cards and video.
