Today I am sharing the best beginner’s handmade card design there is. It’s simple, it’s easy and it’s quick and requires a small amount of supplies. This makes these cards perfect for beginner cardmakers.
BEGINNER HANDMADE CARD DESIGN IDEA
My favorite basic cardmaking design is a simple card base, a cardstock layer and a stamping layer.
Here are the measurements for this basic beginner card design:
+ Card base 4-1/4″ x 11″
+ Cardstock layer 4″ x 5-1/4″
+ Stamping layer 3-3/4″ x 5″
As you can see, I took the time to color some of the examples. Here are some options for coloring when you have a small amount of supplies:
+ Ink blend colors over the stamped image
+ Color with Prisma Color Pencils or even use Crayola
+ Use crayons to color images
For this next set of cards I used color cardstock as a base layer instead of solid black.
I matched the ink on the front with the color cardstock. This makes a fun monochromatic look that is easy to create.
Each set of cards is perfect for giving as a gift if you just wrap a little bow around them and add envelopes.
