My mother in law went to visit family in Texas quite some time ago. While she was there she attended one of the church events with her family. At this event Betty Sue (mother in laws cousin) made 5 gallon buckets of Grape Salad. Well when you see the ingredients of Grape Salad you will think, how can these ingredients taste good together. I mean each ingredient is tasty separate but together, um, possibly not so much. I am here to tell you the salad is AMAZING. It’s almost a dessert it’s so good.
Step 1) Wash the grapes and pull them off the vine. Dry them and put them in a bowl.
Step 2) You are going to add whipped cream cheese and creme marshmallow. Mix it all together. I would just add a little at a time until it has coated the grapes. I put too much the first time. You just have to have equal parts of each.
Step 3) Add chopped pecans and shredded cheddar cheese. I will tell you I don’t add the cheese. I don’t think I can really even taste it. So I just leave it out.
Super simple recipe and so good. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Ingredients:
1 container of whipped cream cheese
1 container of jet puffed marshmallow cremé
1 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts
shredded cheddar cheese to your liking (I don’t add it)
Mix it all together and chill. Ready to serve almost immediately.
