I grew up riding horses. I even had my own horse off and on through the years.
In 2007, I made a big mistake. I got on a horse out on 80 acres, that hadn’t been ridden in 3 months and I had not been on a horse in over a year. Do you see where this is going?
The horse, Jody, was trained on moving cattle (cutting, roping, etc) So in the horse world this translates to the horse wanting and loving to chase cows.
All of these mistakes combined, landed me with a broken back and months of recovery in a body cast.
I still love horses. But I never ride. I haven’t ridden since. In fact, it’s the only time in my 10 1/2 years of marriage my husband, basically forbid something. Since he was the one to care for me for all that time, I listened.
That brings me to today’s card inspiration. I am coming up on my 10 year anniversary of my accident. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years.
So I thought about how much I loved horses then and how grateful I am that God spared my life and allowed me to still be able to walk.
I thought I needed to make a horse card just for fun.
Can’t ride em’ …. create with them….
