BOO to you! This card is so fun. I worked really hard on this one for you guys. I was aiming to do some fun techniques that I don’t use all the time. I definitely succeeded. I used the brayering technique to create a layered effect in the sky and then flicked water onto the paper to fade the top layer of ink out. It worked out quite nicely. I used bats from two different stamp sets to get my different size bats.
Tips & Tricks
- The Cracks – To create the cracks in the gravestone I used a basic black marker and drew the lines free hand. Then I used a paint brush dipped in basic gray ink to smudge ink over the lines that I drew. This gives the cracks a more realistic look.
- The Boo – I cut the Boo letters from the Little Letters Die Cuts and inked them in Basic Gray ink.
- The Ghost – I lightly inked the ghost in smoky slate ink. He was too bright white without some ink on him. I stamped his face using smoky slate also, from the Fall Fest stamp set.
