Well, friends, this is a first. I have created a beautiful card using a stamp set by Gina K Designs.
This stamp set just called to me and I thought it was the perfect card for a friend and for me. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves we aren’t in control.
CARDMAKING CREATIVITY
For quite some time I have wanted a stamp set with some beautiful Bible verses. This stamp set was the perfect combo of sentiments and a nice big floral design to color.
For the coloring, I used Copic Markers and had a wonderful time getting reacquainted with an old friend. I was also reminded that they are more challenging to color with and take a different skill set than Stampin’ Blends for example.

Since I wanted to cut down on the time it took to choose color combos I went to my friend Kelly Taylor’s website. She’s got some great suggestions for color combinations when using Copic Markers.

I spent some time swatching the colors and then started coloring. Swatching is not one of my very favorite things to do. Mostly because I am just ready to get into my creation. But it is an important step in coming up with your color combinations. I highly recommend color swatching to plan out your colors for your cards.
