Creating a handmade birthday card is one of my favorite ways to say, “I love you”.
I remember one time one of my team members contacted me after her birthday. She called me actually. Her voice was a little shaky and she was choking back tears.
She said to me, you are the only person that remembered my birthday. That changed something in me.
This beautiful woman was married and had grown children and grandchildren and they all forgot her birthday. But my card showed up. I will never forget that phone call.
I celebrated my birthday this week and I know that if no one had even told me Happy Birthday I would have felt so heartbroken.
Creating a handmade birthday card to give with a family member or my stamping family members is one of the great joys I have. Sometimes I get behind and they are late, but I always send them.
It’s a personal little mission of mine to make sure that if someone is in my circle, including my team, they always get a birthday card.
