I really loved the colors for this Creative Challenge. They felt like fall. Although I am a summer girl through and through, I have to admit I love fall colors. They are very pretty.

I’ve been desperate to use the feather framelits since I got them. So here is this weeks card. I like how it turned out.
This card really challenged me because this is not a color combination I would normally put together. However I ended up really liking it. The black just really pops. And you know me, I always have to have some sort of bling. Thus the glimmer paper feather. It had to be done.
Tips & Tricks:
- Pattern Combinations: I love combining patterns. The polka dots and chevrons is a super popular pattern combination. Generally speaking putting a large print with a small print is also a great idea.
- Feather Framelits: When you use feather framelits the little piece at the end of the feather sometimes sticks. Use a paper piercer to carefully push the end of the feather out of the framelit. It will pop right out.
- Project Life by Stampin’ UP! Holiday Cheer: Don’t let the fact that you don’t “DO” Project Life stop you from picking up this gem. This is a great stamp set for cards and ESPECIALLY for making tags. You will not be disappointed.

Last but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST! I have to say Happy Birthday to my sweet girl today! She is 6 years old. I do not know where the time has gone. I feel like it was yesterday that I had her. Time is flying by so fast. Just for the record she picked this cake out! LOL. Uncle Si is her favorite. So she ate his face. HAHA!
