Here is this weeks Creative Challenge Club challenge. I really enjoy Color Challenges. We hope you go over and play along with us. Rumor has it that we had 16 link ups and there will be a winner announced. YAY!
Ok so this dude is a little more like a Robertson Family member and not so much like Santa. LOL… I love the Visions of Santa stamp set. I think this set definitely falls in the category, LOVE IT OR HATE IT. I have heard several of my demo friends say that they really hate this set. I think they are totally crazy. I love it! It cracks me up. It fulfills the country, hillbilly Christmas side of me. This will likely be the first of many cards you will see from me using this stamp set.
Tips & Tricks
- Tearing Paper: When I tear paper I try to hold one hand still and pull the paper away with the other hand. I am not sure if that makes any sense, but that’s the best way I can describe it.
- Color Combo: When I saw this color combo I immediately thought of the earth. It has the blue sky, and then the ground colors. I really couldn’t get past it feeling and looking like earth, thus the reason it looks like my Santa is dancing in the muddy grass. Which works well for this Santa.
- Dimension: With every card I try to add an element of dimension. I want something on the card to stand out. If I can achieve that with dimensionals that is great. However on this card I added the clothespin and the linen thread to give the card an extra element. I feel like it came together very nice.
Here is my supply list. You can purchase any of these items by clicking on the images below.

I love this card, Wendy! I have not been particularly fond of that stamp set but I really like it on this card… I might have to reconsider… Lol.
