This weeks Creative Challenge Monday is #CCC16 from the Creative Challenge Club. Katina Martinez designed the sketch we used this week. She’s another one of our design team members.
I absolutely LOVE how this card turned out. It’s probably one of my most favorite in a long time that I have done.
Wondering where that “HAPPY” cut out is from….. hee hee
Here is this week’s sketch. Please go over to Creative Challenge Club and play along with us.
- Waxy Business – When I cut out these beautiful letters or sayings I always use wax paper to cut them. I layer in this order: cutting board, clear plate, card stock, wax paper, thin lit, clear plate. Then sometimes I use a shim *a thin piece of paper* on top of the clear plate for some extra pressure during cutting.
- Bows – I use forks and the magic cheater bow tools to tie nice bows, like the one that is on my balloon.
- Tombow – When I make cards like this one with a lot of intricate pieces that are tiny, I prefer to use tombow. I used tombow to secure my bakers twine and my “Happy” cut out.
I made two of these cards. The first one in Pumpkin Pie was for my Brother in Law. He lives next door to us and we are pretty fond of the fella. See above, this is how close he lives. I took this from my craft room window. It’s like Everybody Loves Raymond over here!
I wanted to share this with you also. This is how I made the balloon. Hope this helps 🙂
