Crazy Color Week: Stampin’ UP! Hello Cupcake Birthday Box

Crazy Color Week continues with this weird color combination.

Somehow I pulled it off.

When I saw Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake come up as the combo I had one thought…”What am I going to do with those colors?”

Are you wondering where I got the adorable Ice Cream cone?  Birthday Cheers hat of course. (see pic below)

The I tried thinking of what would be that color and the only thing that could really come to mind was candy or ice cream.

The Bermuda Bay reminds me of that nasty bubble gum ice cream kids get.

I didn’t even get that junk when I was a kid.  ICK

I’ve always been an old lady ice cream eater.

Yeah I like Butter Pecan and Pralines & Cream.  Who likes that when they are 10?  This girl, that’s who!

Here is the awesome pro tip on that ice cream cone.

Just stamp the birthday cheer hat in crumb cake ink and fussy cut it out.  TADA, ice cream cone.

TIPS & INSTRUCTIONS

+ Cut Crumb Cake card stock 10 1/8″ x 10 1/8″

+ Score on the envelope punch board at 3 1/2″ and at 4 1/2″, punch on both score lines

+ Continue by turning the card stock and following the previous score lines until you’ve scored all the way around.

+ Trim in on tabs on the hot dog side (long side)

+ Use tear & tape adhesive to close box

+ Cut Crumb Cake card stock layer at 4 1/4″ x 7″ (background stamp this with Crumb Cake ink sprinkles)

    Hi, Wendy
I absolutely loved this as I have this set and can try this. I think if the birthday was in the summer I would tuck inside the box some gift cards for the ice cream parlors we have around my neck of the woods! Loved these colors by the way!!! Your story was fun to listen to but not fun for your poor niece. Glad to hear she is okay and she will be someone who will succeed in whatever she attempts – she has awesome determination skills – albeit on the wild side!!! I have a grandson like that and he is now 18 and succeeds in whatever he attempts!!!
