It’s been a really long time since I’ve done the emboss resist technique. So long that I seriously cannot remember the last time I did it.
I remembered while I was cleaning this one off, that reds with emboss resist technique can be difficult.
Here’s a tip! If you do the emboss resist technique and use a red, use a little bit of water on the white embossed part and wipe away. It will come clean much easier.
Saturday my best friend, Laura, and I took off on an adventure to Grass Valley.
We enjoyed a little bit of shopping in downtown Grass Valley and then we went to a winery, that was definitely off the beaten path, but worth it.
I had a glass of Voignier which was delicious and she had a glass of Rose. We both bought a bottle of wine before we left.
This was the beautiful Elks Lodge in Grass Valley. Do you know what Elks Lodge members do? Because we didn’t.
It always makes me happy to stumble upon art. This guy was painting sushi on this cement barricade. I am assuming this is here because we have to dine outside now and this is preventing a car from swiping you while taking a bit of your sashimi.
Sunday we went to Costco and then had some friends over for a fish fry. I got a quick video of our Costco haul, but none of the fish fry and friends. I really wanted to be totally present while we enjoyed company, so I tried to put the phone away most of the evening.
