The Stampin’ UP! Fabulous Flamingo stamp set is retiring. I’m so sad. I love this stamp set.
My friend Laura is awesome. In honor of celebrating women this month I am not celebrating friends this week.
I decided to make her a thank you card because she gave me such a cute birthday gift.
A couple weeks back we decided to have a day out. We went shopping for fun house stuff, Easter decor and of course lunch and dessert at Cold Stone Creamery were in order.
The best part of my time with Laura, is that there is NEVER any drama. We get along so well, and we crack each other up. What’s better than a friend that makes you laugh? Nothing!
I have a few tips for you on this card.
Below the tips you’ll find a video and my supply list. I have separated the supplies into RETIRING and STAYING categories so that you’ll know what needs to move to the top of your list.
TIPS & INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Card base is cut at 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″ to make a top folding card
+ Whisper White card stock is cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″
+ Designer series paper is cut at 3-3/4″ x 5″
+ Whisper White card stock is used to cut the stitched rectangle for the stamping
+ Make sure to stamp off on your base layer of stamping the flamingo
+ Add the white ribbon before you adhere the layers. I like to wrap and use adhesive to hold it in place in the back and then use a separate piece of ribbon to tie around the one I’ve put on the card.
Supplies are listed below the video. Click on any of the images to purchase them in my online store. Don’t forget that some of the items I am using on today’s card are retiring soon, like the Stampin’ UP! Fabulous Flamingo stamp set.

Cute card. Was the concert at Ironstone? Thinking about going to see Sugarland in June.
