I have to say that Creative Challenge Monday is quickly becoming one of my favorite days of the week. I really am enjoying all the sketches and going over to Creative Challenge Club blog and seeing all the talented design team members cards. If you haven’t been over there yet today go check it out by clicking HERE. I love how this card turned out. The first card I made I really didn’t care for. So I started again from scratch and love the second one, (the fall leaves one).
Creative Challenge Club also has a Facebook group now JOIN US HERE: https://www.facebook.com/groups/creativechallengeclub/
Here’s the sketch and my first card.
Tips & Tricks
- Complimenting Colors – At first glance you would not think that basic gray would go well with the Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper. Specifically because I paired the leaves with it. But there are little hints of basic gray mixed in those leaves. By using Basic Gray it pulls the leaves that are basic gray out of the paper and really makes them pop. At least, that’s what I am going with! LOL
- Ribbon all the way – I wrapped this piece of ribbon all the way around the card. I really like doing this but only with certain ribbon. The new in color ribbon is perfect for tying in double knots. It lays really nice and doesn’t get all whomper jawed.
