Freebie Friday #35 So Thankful Wreath

Hey Crafty Peeps!
For our anniversary my Mom and Dad in law got Kevin and I the cool mason jar drinking glasses in the photo above.  We actually use regular mason jars for our drinking glasses and so these are perfect.  They came in six different divine colors.  I just love them.   So of course, I made them a thank you card.  You can see how to make the card in the video below.
Last weeks Freebie Friday of the Project Life goodies is: Brenda Wilkinson.  Congrats friend please email me at wendy.cranford@live.com and let me know your address.

Tips & Tricks

  • Lining it all up:  This stamp set and framelit set are insanely simple to use.  As long as you line up the tabs on the sets you will stamp and cut them out perfectly.  Best thing ever!
  • Watercolor Wash:  I stamped the Hardwood Background stamp in order to get an old piece of wood look.  In order to distress it a bit more I stamped I spritzed it with water and rubbed a paper towel around to smudge the ink.  Make sure you use watercolor paper for this technique.
  • Size matters – Yes it does! Card sizes really do make a difference in the look of your card and especially if you are pairing them with something, like a box.  I cut this card stock at 4″ x 8″, folded in half to make a 4″x 4″ card.  It’s a really fun size.

  1. Love the spritzing technique, Wendy. It’s adds so much character to your card. I also love that SU! added the tabs to the stamp set and dies. Makes it so easy to line them all up!
