Stretching your stamps is a great way to feel like you’re getting more bang for your buck. Today I am sharing some greeting card background ideas that I think you will really enjoy.
All of these ideas are easy to duplicate with whatever stamp sets you already have in your craft room.
GREETING CARD BACKGROUND IDEAS
A lot of times the little random stamps in a stamp set go unused or forgotten. I thought it would be fun to focus on using the small stamps in our sets to create some fun backgrounds for our greeting cards.

In the first card, I created a mask by die-cutting a circle from the mask and laying it on my card layer. Then I simply stamped all the little images from the new Cup of Tea stamp set. This stamp set will be available on May 3rd to customers.
I used a black pen and traced the inside of the mask to create a circle around the stamped area. This gave some definition to the circle. Alternatively, you could do some light ink blending in the circle to help define the edge.

For the second card, I repeated the same concept but instead used the Basic Border dies to cut a mask and mask the bottom of this card base. I used the new Framed Occasions stamp set, also available to purchase on May 3rd.
While keeping the mask in place I used a black pen to create dash lines to give a border to the stamped area.

The last card I have to share today uses the Hello Beautiful stamp set for the background and the brand new Wild & Sweet stamp set for the cute little raccoon. If I’m being totally transparent this stamp set was not on my list to get, I added it to an order with my Stampin’ Rewards.
Boy am I glad I did. I love it. The technique I share in the video on how to stamp and color the raccoon might be my new favorite thing to do.

I enjoy your videos. I’m wondering what is the pink cloth you used to clean your stamps? Where did you buy it?
Thank you
