My favorite thing about the 4th of July, is well everything. I love the 4th, the celebration of living in a free nation, the BBQ’s, the fireworks, the warm summer evening, the smells in the air. The best part is this year it’s on a FRIDAY! Woohoo….
Here are the favors I made to give out around town. They were from the Paper Pumpkin kit in June.
I also think it’s always important and appropriate to thank all our wonderful service men and women for what they do for us. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Past, Present and Future, without you we could not call ourselves “the land of the free, and the home of the brave.” God bless you and your families for what you do.
Here is today’s blog candy/Freebie Friday:

Happy 4th of July to you, Wendy, and your family, too. Hope you had a great week-end. My favorite part of this holiday is family, friends, and freedom…..not necessarily in that order. Thank you for sharing your time, talents, and ideas with us.
We live close to a small town of about 600 people. On the 4th each year they have a parade that takes over an hour. I think that is amazing for a community of that size. Then we have a bbq at our house for family and friends. Love it all!!!!
I love your videos, Wendy!! My favorite things are spending time with family, the smell of grills firing up and cooking all over our neighborhood, and fireworks. Hope you and your family had a great 4th…
My favorite part of the Fourth is getting together with the neighbors and all the great food they bring. My family is here too. We can see all the fireworks from our street. Love it!
My favorite part of the 4th is having the day off from work! rita.navarre@yahoo.com
Happy 4th to everyone!! I look forward to the holiday because NASCAR is at Daytona. I own horses so it’s hard to enjoy the holiday. I’m too busy keeping them safe from all of the fireworks.
I love getting together with famly and friends. I also love making decorations for holidays. When my children were young, I made a tablecloth out of unbleached muslim. I used red and blue acrylic paint and splattered on the tablecloth then poured the paint into pans and dipped my kids’ hands into the paint and stamped them around the lower edge of the tablecloth. In one corner I took a sharpie pen and wrote the year and their names. It has been a lasting tradition since the 1980’s! I’d love to make one with my grandkids hand prints!
Oops! the above comment (about the tablecloth) is from Arlene Lacy.
Cherry pie, parades, sparklers, grandchildren, neighbors and of course the fireworks!! Love your tutorials. Your blog rocks!
