Today I will share how to do the ghost stamping card technique. This cardmaking technique is easy and fun and can be done with almost any stamp set.
Ghost Stamping Card Technique
During today’s YouTube live I share several examples of the fun ghost stamping technique.
This cardmaking technique is easy to do and very quick. I have found having a well inked Whisper White ink pad and Crumb Cake cardstock are the best combo for this technique.
Using solid images for ghost stamping makes your projects and images really pop. You simply stamp the image in Whisper White pigment ink, make sure it’s dry, and then stamp off in a solid color.
Another great tool to have on hand is a heat tool. Generally, a heat tool is used for heat embossing but it comes in really hand with use of pigment inks.
Pigment ink sits on the surface of the cardstock and takes time to dry completely. Like, for real, overnight sometimes. So having a heat tool around speeds up the process from overnight to a couple of minutes and you can move on with your cardmaking endeavor.
This card was stamped with Whisper White ink and then dry embossed with an embossing folder. This adds one more element of interest. I used the Amazing Silhouettes Bundle to create this card, and I really love how it came together.
