How To Create A Mirror Image

How to create a mirror image when stamping your cards. Wendy Cranford luvinstampin.com

I grew up in northern California on a 40 acre plot of land.  My grandparents own this property and built their lives there.

My Mom and Dad divorced when I was young and my sis and I spent most of our lives with my Mom on her parents property.

The place itself is near and dear to my heart.  It’s a stretch of 40 acres with a creek that runs through it and two beautiful big ponds.

When I was a kid I spent HOURS at these watering holes. Catching tadpoles, fishing, swimming and having picnics with my cousins and grandparents.

The serene silhouette stamp set from Stampin’ UP! reminds me of those times.  Whenever I look at the images it takes me back to the old dirt road, the warm summer nights and that pond that I spent so many hours exploring.

Even though the serene silhouette stamp set is retiring it’s a set I will keep forever, simply because of how it makes me feel.

All that said.  I decided to create a card for my Grandpa with the set.  I wanted to convey in the card the way I felt as a kid.

I love how the card turned out and I think he will love it also.

The technique I used for this card is mirror image stamping.  I have created a super short video to show you how this is done. All the supplies I used on this card are listed below the video.
