How To Create A Wintery Night Sky

How to create a wintery night sky using 3 Stampin' UP! ink colors and a sponge. Wendy Cranford luvinstampin.com

All I have been able to think about is the upcoming opportunity to earn a vacation to Alaska.

Why, you ask?

Because my sweet hard working husband has always wanted to go to Alaska.

Beginning this coming Saturday October 1st, Stampin’ UP! has given demonstrators the opportunity to start working towards earning a trip to Alaska.  I can’t wait to start working on this goal.

With that in mind this card was born.

When I think of Alaska I think of cold, snow, polar bears, penguins, eskimos, whales and so much more.

I used three different Stampin’ UP! colors to ink the night sky.  Tempting turquoise, Pacific point, and night of navy.  The trio of these colors make a fantastic night sky.

Have you ever been to Alaska?  If you have tell me your favorite part about it.  I would love to know.

  1. I love your night sky! Thanks for showing the whole process in making the night sky as I never knew the process and how it inking and blending does look like a hot mess in the beginning.

  2. We went on a cruise to Alaska for our 25th anniversary. It was one of our best vacations. We want to go back soon. One of our favorite parts was white water rafting among the glaciers, it was awesome!! 🙂 I hope you win a trip there! 🙂

  3. Wendy…..We lived in Alaska for 35 years and I loved it !! Some folks don’t like the winter darkness….but then the summer sun for long hours balances it out;. I just loved the beauty….we lived on an island in SE and our views were mountains, water, gorgeous sunsets over the water…cruise ships going by in summer…..beaches for picnics….well, I could go on….but you will love it !!
Thanks for the tips on the gorgeous blues in the sky !!
    Darling card !!

  4. Very cool sky, Wendy! We went on a cruise to Alaska about 5 years ago. Our favorite part was a train ride out of Skagway. It was the highlight of our trip. Beautiful and fun. I know you’ll earn your trip. Good luck!

  5. Went to Alaska on a cruise last summer. The scenery is absolutely beautiful! The blue color of the glaciers was breathtaking. Your blue sky reminds me of them.
