Today I am sharing how to make a side shutter handmade card. These cards are so simple to make and like I always say, they pack a big punch.
The color combination is very calm and serene making this card so gorgeous for a wintery Christmas card.
I honestly wasn’t 100% sure what to call this card. So side shutter is what I came up with. This card was inspired by a swap card I received and all of you requesting that I do a tutorial on how to make it.
I used Stampin’ UP!’s Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper to create this card, along with Basic Black cardstock, and Smoky Slate.
The cabin is stamped in Basic Gray ink and the little snow and sentiment are stamped in Smoky Slate ink.
I kept saying that the Ever Eden Designer Series Paper would be great for a Christmas card, so I decided I better put my money where my mouth is. Didn’t it turn out beautiful?
The Eden’s Garden stamp set made the perfect greenery on the base image and then the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set was perfect for the sentiment.
And don’t EVEN get me started on those Garden Gems, they are fabulous beyond belief.
This is the original card that started all of this. I CASE’d this basic idea. For the life of me, I cannot recall who made this card. But if you go back and watch THIS video you’ll be able to find out who created it.
If you loved this tutorial I have a whole Online Card Class full of gorgeous cards and a fabulous PDF tutorial that you won’t want to miss out on.
