How To Make An Extra Tall Card feat Stampin’ UP! Rise & Shine

An extra tall card with rainbow colors and the Stampin' UP! Rise & Shine stamp set

Today I want to show you how to make an extra tall card. This card can actually be made with one sheet of 7″ x 7″ cardstock, however, it would have to be a side fold.

I wanted to make this extra tall card top folding. Since we don’t have 14″ paper I had to cut two pieces.

I am giving these cards and mugs as a gift. But I am not telling who yet because I want it to be a surprise. I am doubtful the folks that will receive this look at my YouTube or blog but just in case I am going to keep it a secret for now.

Tips & Instructions For An Extra Tall Card

+ Cut two pieces of Whisper White thick cardstock. One at 3-1/2″ x 7″ and the other one at 3-1/2″ x 7-1/2″.

+ Score the piece that is 7-1/2″ long at 1/2″ on the long side. Add Tear & Tape adhesive to the scored 1/2″ piece and adhere to the backside of the other piece of cardstock.

+ Cut a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock at 3-1/4″ x 6-3/4″ and ink blend. The inks I used are Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and Highland Heather.

+ Next splatter small droplets of water on the ink blended background, I used an aquapainter and flicked the water. Next I added some Frost White shimmer paint splatters. Let it dry.

+ Stamp all of your coffee cups in the same coordinating colors and add to your ink blended background with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

+ Add ink blended panel to the card base
