How To Spotlight Stamp

Beautiful card made using the spotlight stamping technique

Today I am teaching you how to spotlight stamp.

Spotlight stamping is a fun and simple technique that packs a lot of punch.

Stampin' Blends make it easy to do the spotlight stamping technique

I chose the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set for this card and I think it really showcases how-to spotlight stamp well.

Using the Stamparatus tool for this technique is extremely helpful.

Simply stamp the image two times. One will be the base piece that you won’t color and the other will be the piece you color.

Choose an area to color and then cut it out. Line it up with the pattern on the base piece so it appears as one piece.

Cover die cuts with Wink Of Stella for added flare

In hindsight, I wish I would have put a black piece of cardstock behind the colored area also. If you decide to do that just cut it 1/8″ larger than the colored area.

Love this, one of my very most favorite stampin up technique is coloring. I especially like the watercolor pencils. Maybe you can answer my question, can you purchase a single pencil? I used my gorgeous grape down to about one or two more sharpens and it’s gone.😰
