It’s a Grave Favor – Wowza Wednesday #9

Welcome.  I am so excited about todays share.  I rarely, as in almost never, come up with a cute box or favor all on my own.  I did it!  I created this cute little grave stone favor all by myself,  no casing!  Did I really just say “cute little gravestone favor” ??  I bet that’s never been said by anyone. Ever. By anyone.  Anywhere.  LOL.  Stampin’ UP! released this new die called Party Pennants die this year in the annual catalog.  I got it as one of my free items I earned.   I will admit I haven’t used it much.  I used the die to create the gravestones.  You can see the video and the picture tutorial on how to put it all together.  So easy and quick.

Tips & Tricks

  • Saving Paper – Cut your basic gray card stock at 5 1/2″ x 2 3/4″, you’ll need two pieces.  This size will fit perfectly over the pennant die.  You can save a lot of paper by pre trimming it to fit your die shapes that you want.
  • Stamp Customization – I did not want to use the Trick -or- Treat stamp in a long line the way it came.  I customized this stamp by cutting it with craft and rubber scissors so that it would fit on my project the way I wanted it to.  You can see the photo tutorial on how to do that on this blog post.
  • Crinkle Paper – To create my Tangerine Tango crinkle paper I just used a scrap piece of card stock and cut it into very thin strips.  Then I crinkled it all up in my hand.  Super Simple.

Here is the stamp customization.
