One Layer Birthday Card | Stampin’ Blends & Birthday Goodness

Stampin’ Blends are a great way to create beautiful one layer cards.

I have been doing a fun series on using Stampin’ Blends.  CLICK HERE to see those videos, scroll to the COLORING section.

The Birthday Goodness stamp set was one of my favorites in the catalog and I immediately knew what card I wanted to make with it.

I enjoyed sitting and coloring this card.  In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I thought to myself, “Why don’t I do this more often?”

Making one layer scene cards is my jam.  But I tend not to do it out of fear that it will be too difficult for people and maybe they won’t enjoy watching me color.

What do you think?  Do you enjoy these types of videos and cards?

TIPS & INSTRUCTIONS:

+ Whisper White Thick card stock cut at 4-1/4″ x 11″,  4″ x 5-1/4″.

+ Whisper White Thick card stock cut at 1/2″ x 3″ and trim end to create banner.

+ When coloring something white you still have to add shadows to it to make it look white. This is why I have added Light Smoky Slate marker to the sides of the pedestal stands.

+ Create masks to be able to add layers to cards without cutting layers.

+ Add wink of stella to the icing on the donuts to make them shimmer.

Supplies used on this card are listed below the video.  Click on any of the images to purchase them in my online store.

I was just looking at this stamp set in the AC and added it to my list! Love the coloring but I don’t think my coloring of the counter would turn out as well as yours. Love, love, love this card!

I don’t know what people expect BUT I for one love to watch demos using all the different stamp sets. I gives me incite as to their uses and broadens my views on the ones I’ve skipped over while looking thru the AC. Love your stories too…the funny ones as well as the more serious ones. I hope you’ll do a “Fundraiser” card kit again also. Keep up the great work!!!
