
I love watercoloring. This easter watercolor card was inspired by our beautiful state flower the California Poppy.
I sat down with an old set of watercolors from my stash. I couldn’t tell you where they were from or what they are called but they are pretty.
I’ve been intentional this year with trying to create some things just for fun. With no plan, just sit down and create.

The watercolor cardstock is cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″. I concentrated the darker orange color in the areas that would have shadows.
Adding my yellow to the outside edges. I had to look up pictures of the flowers because for whatever reason I couldn’t picture the color of the poppies in my head. Even though I’ve seen a thousand of them in my life.
