Oh my gosh you guys! I had so much fun writing this blog post. Or should I say preparing for it. Why you ask? It gave me permission to buy cute stuff to PERK UP my craft room. YAY! Who doesn’t love perking up any room in their house right?
First. I knew Buddy’s eating area needed a perk up. This is probably my favorite change. Buddy’s set up has been less than attractive. It didn’t match the room, and the stuff was just old and icky. The cute pail that his food is in now, actually says birdseed on the front, but I don’t care. I love it. There was even a little scoop inside the pail. So cute.
See how thankful he is for his new goodies. I’m sorry but how do you not just kiss that face. Oh he is so cute.
Second. In the center of my craft room I have this 5×5 craft table. This is where my awesome customers gather to create awesome stuff. It needed a perk up. I can’t think of a better perk on a table than fresh flowers. OH wait! Yes I can. Fresh flowers, in a vase your child painted and on a table topper your cousin quilted for you for your birthday! HA! Genius. Something about fresh flowers make me feel invigorated, happy and creative. I bring outside, inside whenever I can, unless it crawls.
Third. This was the hardest one for me to get a great photo of. There is this giant window that looks out over our side yard. I decided it needed a perk of color. Lucky for me by birthday was a few days ago. My sweet sister in law got me window decals for easter. Macie and I had fun putting the decals on the window. Great perk up. I found this little planter at my local hardware store and planted some fairy garden plants in it. I hope they live. I’ve never had fairy garden plants before. They sure are cute.
Fourth. What a find this was! I mean I hemhawed at the store forever about this purchase.
Not because I didn’t want it but because I thought the store wanted too much money for it. It’s probably just me. I am kind of cheap.
Have you ever done this? Walked around a store for 30 minutes or more with something in your hand trying to decide if you want to part with the cash for it? You think… If I don’t get this I will regret it. This is too much money, I really don’t need it. But I’ve looked for this forever, I should just get it. SO ANNOYING.
Finally I decided, I was an hour from home, it was in an antique store and I have wanted something like this forever. So I bit the bullet. You are probably thinking, my word Wendy how much is this thing. It was $38.00 LOL… From this story it sounds like they wanted $200. I don’t know it just looks so simple, I felt like $38 was a lot of money. But they won. It’s a small privately owned store so what the heck. I donated. I don’t know what it’s actual intended use is, but I am using it for a card display ON MY COUNTER. So excited about it being able to be out on my counter.

Thanks for sharing your craft room perk ups! I think we all need perk ups, especially those of us who have been experiencing a looooong winter! 🙂

Hi Lori, I am so sorry for your long cold winter. I have to say I couldn’t live anywhere but CA or AZ because I can’t take the cold or the dreary. It makes me really depressed. Just the couple of short months in CA that are dreary are hard on me. How sad is that? Thanks for the nice comment. I hope your winter ends soon and you have beautiful days.
