I am not a big fan of the “city”, but San Diego, you have a little piece of my heart.
Sunday evening I returned home from San Diego California. I had a magnificent time. We ate, drank, stamped, talked, walked and most of all had fun.
I roomed with 3 friends, Katina Martinez, Kristy Guarienti and Carrie Vermazen. We had a blast just hanging out and talking after the days events.
Hope you enjoy the photos I have to share with you. Make sure you watch the video at the end also. Lots of fun cards with great ideas.
Before we ever made it to our hotel in San Diego we stopped at Daiso Japan. Have you been there? It is so much fun. I spent a large sum of money I have to admit. But that’s ok, I got tons of goodies for my awesome team members. They are the best.
Next stop on Friday was Serrano’s Street Tacos & Bar. AMAZING! The food was unbelievable and I ate a taco that was so spicy I thought we were going to have to call 911.
I can’t go to a coastal city and not have oysters on the half shell. This is one of my very favorite things to eat. I am weird, I know. I get it from my Grandpa. He likes all kinds of weird foods also. I even got my friend Raquelle Clifton to try them. (I don’t think she was a fan)
Here are my tacos. See the one on the far right? With the jalapeños laying in them, yep, that taco almost set me on fire.
This is the fun group that joined us for lunch. We had a great time.
After lunch we decided to kill some time and go for a walk down by the bay. This is the iconic kissing statue and everyone had to get photos.
Here we are in front of the USS Midway. What a cool site. When I was here last year I toured the ship. It was such a beautiful day. From left to right: Kristy Guarienti, Katina Martinez, me, Raquelle Clifton.
How cool is this?
Statue? I think not! When you put money in his tip jar he would come to life and play his guitar and sing. I loved it. Yes of course I put money in the jar.
Friday night was leadership night, also known as CenterStage. Notice something there in the center of the table besides the delicious food? Yes that is the new in colors.
Saturday was full of fun. One of the all attendee giveaways was Patty Bennett’s $1 Million stamp set. She signed them for everyone that wanted a signature.
I really enjoyed having my team there. We all hung out and sat at the same table. It was really nice.
Saturday night we went to Busters for dinner in Seaport Village.
I am now realizing that all of my photos are based around food and where I ate. HAHA! I love to eat. I love food. I especially love trying new foods. Busters was delicious.
Before we left the hotel on Sunday I had to snap a quick photo of the gorgeous view. Isn’t it spectacular. This was the view out of our hotel window at the Embassy Suite in Downtown San Diego.
The long drive home was filled with fantastic conversation, snacks and great music. Kristy and I shared the driving responsibility. Katina relaxed.
Kristy has her game face on here. Note her hands are perfectly positioned at 10 and 2.
This is Katina’s annoyed face. This face means she would really rather I not be taking her photo at the moment. But when you’ve been friends 25 years, you just do stuff to annoy the other one. Because it’s fun and they can’t do anything about it. Your friendship is solidified.
Last but not least I snapped some beautiful photos of the bay in the evening. The bridge to Coronado Island and that little quiet moment by myself where I realized how incredibly blessed of a life I live.
Ok finally. Some fun cards to share. Hope you enjoy the video.
I will be back on Friday with a quick video on a fun card I made.

Great photos! That taco looked hot! Hope you’re ok after eating it! Glad you all had a great time and safe travels!!
Fun, fun, fun…but not so if you eat those hot peppers and are doubled over in pain!! Ask me, I know. Back so many years (not telling how many!), I went to college near the border and ate all that yummy food every weekend!! Yeah, ouch, suffered all week 🙁 until the next weekend. LOL
