Say Cheese, Light Up Card

Well, friends, this may be the coolest thing I’ve ever created. I made a camera card that has a light-up flash. This card is stinking cute and was so simple to make using Pear Blossom Press lights.

LIGHT UP CARD

I love a fun shaped card. The die set I used to create this card is called Insta-Snap from Trinity Stamps.

After die-cutting the pieces, I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to ink blend the layers. The blending brushes I used are from Trinity Stamps and I love them. They blend beautifully and are easy to hold.

The wow element of this card is the light mechanism. I used a One Light EZ Light from Pear Blossom Press to achieve this cool effect.

All the lights come with batteries. You don’t have to worry about finding a battery to get these lights working. Start by marking the spot that you want your recipient to push for the light to light up. I use pencil and try to mark lightly so that it’s easy to stamp over.

Next, stamp your instructional sentiment. I like using my MISTI for this to make sure it stamps well.

Last, you’ll add adhesive to the back of the light and double sided foam tape from Pear Blossom Press surrounding the light area. Add your backing and the card is finished. Just add a card base.
