Last week I am on the phone with one of my favorite people, Brian King, the man, the myth, the legend.
I say to Brian…. I say “I just think my cards are too complicated some times.” To which he replies something like “They are but you’re nice”.
Then he gives me the biggest compliment ever and says something like “Not a lot of people can do both clean and simple cards AND stepped up cards. You should consider doing both in a video or on a blog post to show people how they really can get value out of their stamp sets.” (there were a lot of other words but I am paraphrasing here people)

This is why I talk to people. Generally speaking they have fabulous ideas that I would never think of. So today, I dedicate this blog post to my friend Brian King.
This will be the first of many simple 2 step up cards. I had the best time creating these!

I always love your cards Wendy. It’s nice to be able to learn new techniques from you all the time. There are lots of Stampin Up demonstrators that demonstrate simple cards – but not many that I can learn from every time I watch their videos. WOW! What a wonderful idea. I really liked the shaker card. As a newbie to stamping, this is something I have wanted to try…but have hesitated to. As I watched your video, I think I will give this a try. Wonderful instructions. Thanks for the inspiration.
