Today I am excited to show you some simple ink blending and how I had to fix this card. I used only four colors on this card. Evening Evergreen is making it’s debut, and then Misty Moonlight, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.
I started out by doing some simple ink blending with Misty Moonlight. At the top of the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of cardstock, next I used Evening Evergreen to blend the bottom of the cardstock.
At the top when I did the sky, I tried to do it a little rough so it would kind of give the illusion of clouds.
The part of this card that I had to fix was at the bottom. After I added the trees they just looked funny, like they were randomly floating. But, I had already adhered them, so I was stuck and had to come up with a fix.
At first I thought maybe I could just add a little shadow with a Stampin’ Blends marker. Honestly, I don’t think it would’ve helped all that much. So I opted for cutting a fun hill looking piece from the Inspiring Canopy dies. After ink blending the piece I cut I added it to the bottom covering the back tree stump and letting the front be on top. This worked perfectly.
