Stacked Die Cutting Technique & Shaker Card

stacked die cutting technique

Stacked die cutting is such a fantastic way to make your own embellishments.  Add some glossy accents and you’ve got a spectacular little goodie for your card.

I cut strips of Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ UP! and layered them on a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Then I cut the whole piece down to 5-1/4″ x 4″.

Next I cut the butterfly out of the middle to create my shaker card.  I ended up with some really beautiful left over pieces from the butterfly I cut out so I created a second card.

I created a video for you.  These techniques are so simple but they give your cards such a wow factor.  Not to mention they are kind of addicting.  I really enjoyed creating different designs with the different Designer Series Papers from Stampin’ UP!

Here are the supplies I used to create these cards.  Please click on any of the images below to purchase them in my online store.

Thanks for all the tips and techniques in this little video. I love the stacked sentiments, they just add so much more to the card, and I also love the shaker card information . Love making them but have had a few leakages, so the foam tape is a good tool to have in your work box. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
