I created this fun 40th birthday card for my friend Amy. You may have noted that I referred to her as “Monterey Amy” in the title.
This is simply because I have a bazillion friends and a family member named Amy. So, in order to differentiate them “we” meaning my hubs and I, call them by their location. It’s like a nick name.
Monterey Amy and I have very close birthdays and we usually make it a point to get tougher around our birthday. This year she’s coming to visit me and we will do something fun! Not sure what yet, but we will cook somethin’ up.

I adore Amy. And I think her card turned out beautifully. It is a larger size than normal. I made it a 5″x7″ because I wanted it to look like the balloon was floating and pulling the numbers up.
