Today I am sharing two fun handmade cards from one sketch idea. The card sketch I am following is a Mojo Monday card sketch that I found on Pinterest. I also shared this sketch on my creative inspiration calendar.

HANDMADE CARDS FROM ONE SKETCH
For my first card I used the new online exclusive Rhino Ready Bundle from Stampin’ UP! This bundle is super cute and I had a great time creating a card with this adorable set.
I made this card for a family member that’s struggling a bit right now. Sometimes we just need a reminder that we are stronger than we think we are.
Here are the measurements for this handmade card idea:
+ 4-1/4″ x 11″ Basic White Thick Cardstock
+ 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic Gray Cardstock
+ 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ Old Olive Cardstock
+ 3″ x 4-1/2″ and 3″ x 3″ Like An Animal Designer Series Paper
+ Layering Circle Dies and Trees in Old Olive cardstock and Soft Suede Cardstock
+ Sending Dies – sentiment strip
This is the Mojo Monday sketch I used to create these cards.
Here’s my second sample for this card sketch. The Taco Fiesta stamp set is just so dang cute. I absolutely love how this one turned out. All the bright happy colors make me feel summer vibes. Boy, do I miss summer.
Believe it or not the measurements for this card are different than the other one. I changed it up just a bit and thought I would share.
Here are the measurements for this handmade card:
+ 4-1/4″ x 11″, 4″ x 5-1/4″, Stylish Shape Circle Basic White Thick Cardstock
+ 1/2″ x 5-1/4″ and Stylish Shape Circle Poppy Parade Cardstock
+ 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and 3″ x 4″ Tahitian Tide Cardstock
+ 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ Parakeet Party Cardstock
This card is also my March thank you card. So if you placed an order with me in March you should be expecting one of these sweet cards in the mail.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card sketches. If you’re struggling with your creative mojo I highly recommend trying out card sketches to kick start you.
Here are a few fun tips for using card sketches:
+ Use the sketch as a loose pattern for your card
+ Start with basic shapes but expand into other shapes for your card
+ Use pattern paper to create interest
+ Background stamp some of the layers of solid cardstock to create interest or texture
+ Don’t be afraid to change the sketch or add elements that aren’t necessarily in the sketch
