Two Handmade Cards From One Sketch

Today I am sharing two fun handmade cards from one sketch idea. The card sketch I am following is a Mojo Monday card sketch that I found on Pinterest. I also shared this sketch on my creative inspiration calendar.

HANDMADE CARDS FROM ONE SKETCH

For my first card I used the new online exclusive Rhino Ready Bundle from Stampin’ UP! This bundle is super cute and I had a great time creating a card with this adorable set.

I made this card for a family member that’s struggling a bit right now. Sometimes we just need a reminder that we are stronger than we think we are.

Here’s my second sample for this card sketch. The Taco Fiesta stamp set is just so dang cute. I absolutely love how this one turned out. All the bright happy colors make me feel summer vibes. Boy, do I miss summer.

Believe it or not the measurements for this card are different than the other one. I changed it up just a bit and thought I would share.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card sketches. If you’re struggling with your creative mojo I highly recommend trying out card sketches to kick start you.

Here are a few fun tips for using card sketches:

+ Use the sketch as a loose pattern for your card

+ Start with basic shapes but expand into other shapes for your card

+ Use pattern paper to create interest

+ Background stamp some of the layers of solid cardstock to create interest or texture

+ Don’t be afraid to change the sketch or add elements that aren’t necessarily in the sketch
