Watercoloring with ink refills is so easy. However, I admit it takes practice.
The more you do it the better you’ll get at it.
The biggest obstacle is the concentration of the pigment.
Ink refills are very concentrated pigment. Learning to dilute them with the right amount of water definitely takes practice.
Today’s facebook live I will demonstrate how to use Stampin’ UP! Ink Refills to watercolor.
I have some tips and tricks for you so join me live at 3pm PST. If you can’t be there live, that’s ok, you can always catch the replay. The replay will be uploaded to You Tube after the live event.
TIPS & INSTRUCTIONS:
+ The more water you add to your ink the more diluted the color will become
+ Card base is cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″
+ Basic Black card layer is cut at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
+ Watercolor card stock is cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
+ In order to avoid mixing colors on your painting, make sure you let one area dry before you pain the area next to it.
+ Using wink of stella to make your flowers glimmer is fun, but remember it will reactivate the ink so you could lose some of what you’ve done.
Supplies used on this project are listed below the video. Click any of the images to purchase them in my online store.
